As an international insurance company, Citadel is accountable to only one national insurance regulator and does not comply with insurance regulations of 50 different states. This allows Citadel to offer the many benefits of insurance products at a lower cost. At the same time, all of Citadel’s products are 100% IRS and U.S. Treasury Department compliant.

Electing to be taxed as a U.S. company under IRC 953(d) allows Citadel to eliminate the excise tax otherwise due on premiums paid to an international insurance company.
